This giveaway is open to all UK teachers, excluding employees or agents of the associated companies and their families.

The virtual author visit will take place during summer term 2022.

One entry per person (duplicates will be void).

Prizes cannot be exchanged for cash, or replaced if lost or damaged.

Automated entries are disqualified.

Illegible entries and those that do not abide by these terms and conditions will be disqualified.

The decision of the judge is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

No responsibility held for entries lost or delayed.

All entries become the property of Maze Media (2000) and all sister companies.

Winners will be notified within approximately 10 days of the competition end date, a list of winners will be available in writing on request from Inga Raul, 21-23 Phoenix Court, Hawkins Road, Colchester, Essex, CO2 8JY.

Closing date 11:59pm Friday 18th February 2022.

Entrants should enter by completing the online entry form.

Entries received after the closing date of the promotion will not be considered.

The Promoter will use entrants’ personal details in accordance with the Privacy Policy.

THE SESSION
There is no limit on the number of classes that can join the session. Sessions can be conducted via Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meets or Skype, with any English-speaking school in the world, providing the session can be done between 9:00am and 5.00pm UK time, subject to my availability.


 PUBLIC LIABILITY INSURANCE AND DBS
I have PL insurance with the Society of Authors, with cover of up to £5m. Please note that a condition of such insurance is that an author is not left alone with students. I also have a fully updated DBS check, and I’m happy to send a scan of this in advance. I keep a copy of the scan on my phone should your organisation require it on the day, but if you require me to have a paper copy of my DBS with me, please let me know in advance.

PHOTOGRAPHY AND FILMING
I am happy for photographs to be taken before, during and after my talk. If you would like to share these on social media, please tag me! I’m @mossmontmomery on all platforms. Any recordings by either party must be agreed in advance. My recording licence may require further payment and will be subject to an agreement in terms.

CANCELLATION
If I cancel for any reason (which is extremely unlikely), I will make every effort to reschedule the visit at a mutually convenient date.

CANCELLATION DUE TO COVID-19 AND OTHER PANDEMICS
In the event that we have to cancel my visit due to a pandemic, I’m happy to make the visit a virtual one at our original agreed rate, or postpone a physical visit to another date within six months of the original visit.

VIRTUAL VISITS
On the day of my visit, I request that we get in touch using the planned platform to check that all equipment is working as it should. If there are technical issues on the day and the session cannot go ahead as planned, I am happy to postpone it to another date within one month. My session may not be recorded, other than by mutual agreement. If the event is recorded for future use, the audience should be notified and their parents’ consent gained in advance. The recording is for school use only, and may not be publicly broadcast, put up on YouTube or otherwise disseminated without consent.
