Deeper understanding: Creating a whole-school comprehension programme

In this webinar we look at ways to teach reading comprehension so that all children (from Y1 - Y6) achieve success. This includes building on their existing knowledge, using techniques for getting deeper into texts and considering some of the tricky question formats. We consider ways to activate children’s understanding so that they are able to express opinions about the texts they read and make connections to themselves, other texts and the world around them. This webinar is suitable for teachers in all year groups from Y1 - Y6, English subject leaders and senior leaders.
