Explore colour with young learners using our colour wheel resource.

Collect examples of objects that are the colours of the colour wheel, with the opportunity to write simple captions to create writing based on the model included in the pack.

Using a copy of the colour wheel, children can explore mixing primary colours (red, yellow and blue) to make create the secondary colours (orange, green and purple). Children can create their own copy of the colour wheel to show how new colours can be created by mixing primary colours.

Included in the EYFS resource pack

  • Colour wheel text
  • Colour wheel complete
  • Blank colour wheel template
  • Teacher notes with guidance on how the resources could be used in the classroom
