In KS2, pupils are taught to create characters that could be used in their own writing. This display pack includes a variety of ways that characters could be developed when writing, with examples displayed on posters and challenge activities to develop pupils writing. The posters could be used to explore techniques that could be used when creating characters in their own writing or when investigating author’s techniques in books that they are reading independently or as a class.

The posters could be used as part of a working wall, encouraging pupils to answer the challenge questions and add examples of ways that characters have been developed that they have seen in books that they are reading or have used in their own writing.
