This whole-school primary writing resource pack is designed for National Writing Day on the 21st June 2023.
It uses the theme of ‘journeys’ to inspire pupils to write their own journey stories to develop their writing skills, with the help of a model text, planning sheets a PowerPoint presentation (also available as PDFs), image prompts and themed writing paper.
Pupils from reception to Year 6 can take part in this creative writing activity – whether they are working in the classroom or at home – providing an opportunity for the whole school community to write for a common purpose. The outcomes could be used to demonstrate the progression of writing skills across the school.
