Pupils will look at how rhyme can be used in jokes to create a surprise punchline. They will be able to write their own funny jokes to help them become Britain’s Funniest Class!

Learning objectives:

  • To understand that rhymes are words that end with the same sound.
  • To think of examples of rhyming pairs.
  • To contribute to creating a class joke using rhymes.
