Through this resource pack, pupils can learn about the inspirational young woman, Masala Yousafzai. Pupils will learn about her life, her campaigning for the rights of women and girls, and how she has inspired others.

Pupils in Year 5 and Year 6 will read the biographical text before answering comprehension questions about what they have read. The text ‘Inspirational people: Malala Yousafzai’ could also be used as a model text and WAGOLL as part of a unit where pupils write biographies.

The resource would also be a perfect addition to learning as part of International Women’s Day on 8th March, or during Women’s History Month , also in March.
