This ‘Make a Match’ game is a fun way for pupils in year 1 to explore how the conjunction ‘and’ can be used to join words. Pupils can match words that we would often use together, joining them using the conjunction ‘and’.

The game can be played as a class or in small groups and is perfect for adult led interventions to revisit key knowledge and skills.
