Young learners are naturally curious about the world around them. Explore how they can help to look after our wonderful world using the activity ideas in this resource pack.
Pupils will look at images showing areas that are not well looked after. They can discuss how they could improve the environment. This can lead onto looking at how pupils can persuade people to stop littering supporting them to develop their oracy and vocabulary development.
ELG: Speaking Children at the expected level of development will: - Participate in small group, class and one-to-one discussions, offering their own ideas, using recently introduced vocabulary;
ELG: Self-Regulation Children at the expected level of development will: - Explore the natural world around them, making observations and drawing pictures of animals and plants; - Know some similarities and differences between the natural world around them and contrasting environments, drawing on their experiences and what has been read in class;
