Develop understanding of the structure of a story where a monster is defeated, or overcome, using the resources provided which can be used instantly by pupils. What is a defeating the monster story?
In a story plot that follows this structure, the main character sets out to defeat an enemy that is causing a threat to their homeland or others. It could also be something that the main character must overcome. The main character may rescue others from this enemy, for example rescuing a princess from a beast.
