Pupils should be given the opportunity to write a range of reviews for products, books, shows or events to persuade others. This resource pack provides a template for reviews in a range of written styles with information on how they could be structured and their purpose. These resources can be used to support teaching and learning during an English unit focusing on writing reviews to share the features needed for this style of writing and can be used to identify the features in model texts.
The poster can be used to teach how these text types are structured and the grammar, vocabulary and punctuation typically used.
A variety of templates is included, in slightly differing formats for you to choose from, to support pupils when noting and organising their ideas before writing. They can also be used for pupils to write their final text for presentation or display.
