Use this KS2 grammar game to help children learn how to create and use similes for effective writing.

The pack contains two sets of cards: blue ones, showing the start of a simile, setting up a comparison; and yellow ones, where a comparison is made.

Children can play with various combinations to see which are more effective – and save their favourite similes to use in their own writing.

This primary resource pack includes:

  • PDF simile cards
    These come in two sizes
  • Teacher’s notes

What is a simile?
