These worksheets provide a great way to practise, revise and test Y6 spelling patterns.
Three activity sheets are included, each containing three different types of spelling challenge, including anagrams and cryptic clues.
The patterns covered are ‘the suffix -fer’; ‘hyphens’; and ‘homophones’.
This primary resource pack includes:
- Challenge 1
This challenge presents children with a selection of words which all feature the same spelling patterns. Some words are spelt incorrectly. Children need to identify the misspelled words and write the correct spellings next to them.
- Challenge 2
Children are asked to unscramble words which feature the spelling pattern. Children can refer to the words in the sections marked A and B for support.
- Challenge 3
Children are asked to read clues and use these to identify missing words which feature the letter pattern being taught. Children can refer to the words in the sections marked A and B for support.
