Develop pupils’ visual literacy by exploring how characters feel in simple stories. Using storytelling cards based on a simple narrative about a lost kite, young learners will develop inference skills by identifying clues in the picture to infer characters’ feelings and events in the story.
This resource pack provides sequencing cards telling a simple story of a lost kite. Pupils can sequence the cards to show the order of the story and talk about what is happening in each picture. The cards can then be used to encourage pupils to tell simple narratives using the pictures as prompts.
