Explore harvest with pupils in Year 1 and Year 2 using this activity pack, linked to the RE, science and geography curriculum in KS1.

Pupils will investigate how harvest is celebrated by Christians with activities to create a harvest display. They will also use geographical vocabulary to describe images of the harvest being collected and identify a range of cereals, vegetables and fruits grown in the UK.

Writing – Composition:

  • To write sentences by: saying out loud what they are going to write about; composing sentences orally before writing
  • To develop positive attitudes and stamina for writing by: writing for different purposes

Writing – Vocabulary, punctuation and grammar:

  • To learn how to use expanded noun phrases to describe and specify
