This word class activity revisits nouns and verbs, learning that some words can be both.
Pupils will sort the word cards to show whether the words are nouns, verbs or could be used as both, using the Venn diagram to sort them. This game could also be used to extend pupils working at greater depth in Year 2 or Year 3, introducing that the same word can belong to more than one word class.
The game can be played as a class or in small groups and is perfect for adult led interventions to revisit key knowledge and skills.
