Develop understanding of the plot in stories that you are reading using the identifying the plot resources. Teachers can pick from the suggested questions to discuss events in the story, sequencing what happens and asking questions and answering about events.

Answering and asking questions is part of the programme of study for reading from Year 2. Exploring plots in the narrative texts that pupils read can support pupils to develop similar plots in their own stories.
