Back to School: My Goals for the School Year - PowerPoint and Pupil Booklet

Encourage pupils to identify their goals for the coming academic year using the ‘My Goals for the Year’ booklet.

As a class, you can discuss what a ‘goal’ is and discuss with pupils what they would like to achieve this academic year. The booklet is designed to be used termly throughout the year in key stage 2, with space for pupils or adults to record goals that have been set and record progress towards them. These could be reviewed each term, with new goals added when needed. The booklet could be completed as part of a whole class activity, or one-to-one with pupils where time allows. A new booklet can be used each academic year.

A PowerPoint containing information about setting yourself goals is included to introduce the booklet to pupils.
